Cypher Street Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for personal data collected through cypherstreet.co.uk (the “Site”). This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.

1. The data we collect

Contact Form

When you use our Contact Form, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. If you choose to provide them, we also collect your company name, business type, and number of employees; these fields are optional.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies for site functionality (strictly necessary and functional), analytics (Google Analytics), and marketing or remarketing (Meta Pixel, Google Ads). Full detail on the specific cookies, their purpose, and how to manage your preferences is set out in our separate Cookie Notice.

AI chat assistant

We plan to add an AI-powered chat assistant to the Site. Once a provider is confirmed, this section will explain what data it processes, where, and for how long. If you use the assistant before this section is updated, please bear in mind your messages may be processed by a third-party provider to generate a response.

2. Why we use your data, and our legal basis

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we've considered that the processing is proportionate and that you have a clear right to object, which we will always honour.

3. Marketing communications

If you contact us, we may use your details to send you relevant marketing about our services later. You can opt out at any time by:

If you opt out, we'll keep a minimal record of your details (such as your email address) on a suppression list, so that we don't contact you again by mistake.

4. Who we share your data with

We share personal data with a small number of service providers who help us run the Site and our business:

  • Formspree, which processes Contact Form submissions and forwards them to us by email.
  • Google (Analytics and Ads), for site analytics and remarketing.
  • Meta (Facebook Pixel), for remarketing.
  • Our AI chatbot provider, once confirmed.

These providers only process data on our instructions. We don't sell your personal data to anyone.

5. International transfers

Formspree, Google, and Meta are US-based companies, or rely on infrastructure based in the US, so your data may be processed outside the UK. Where this happens, we expect these providers to rely on recognised safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or a UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep Contact Form and marketing contact details for up to 24 months from your most recent interaction with us (for example, replying to an email, or engaging with a marketing message). After that, we delete or anonymise the data unless we have a legal reason to keep it for longer.

If you ask us to stop marketing to you, we retain a minimal record on a suppression list indefinitely, solely to honour that request.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Ask us to delete your data
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing
  • Receive your data in a portable format, where applicable
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (for example, cookies)

To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@cypherstreet.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113, though we'd appreciate the chance to resolve any concern directly first.

8. Children's data

The Site is intended for business audiences and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold, and we expect the same from any third party we share it with.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new features, change providers, or need to reflect legal changes. We'll update the “last updated” date at the top when we do.
