This Cookie Notice explains how Cypher Street Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on cypherstreet.co.uk (the “Site”).

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, and local storage. They are widely used to make websites work, improve performance, and give site owners information about how visitors use their site.

2. The types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the Site to function properly. They enable core features such as security and remembering your cookie preferences. Because they are essential to the service you've requested, they do not require your consent, though we still tell you about them here.

Functional cookies

These cookies remember your choices, such as display preferences, and support features on the Site, including our chat function. They make your visit more convenient but aren't strictly necessary for the Site to work.

Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with the Site, such as which pages are visited and how long visitors stay, so we can improve it. These cookies collect data in an aggregated or pseudonymous form.

Marketing and advertising cookies

We use Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google Ads cookies to build audiences of Site visitors. This allows us to show relevant adverts to you later, on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or the Google Display Network. This is often called “remarketing” or “retargeting.” We do not show third-party adverts directly on the Site itself.

3. Cookies used on this Site (indicative)

The table below lists the cookies typically set by the tools above. Exact names and durations can vary depending on how each tool is configured, so this list should be confirmed and updated with a cookie scan once the Site is live.

4. AI chat assistant

We plan to add an AI-powered chat assistant to the Site to help answer visitor questions. The provider for this feature hasn't been finalised yet. Once it's in place, this section will be updated to name the provider, explain what cookies or similar technologies it uses, and confirm how long any conversation data is kept. If you use the chat assistant before this section is updated, please bear in mind your messages may be processed by a third-party provider to generate a response.

5. Managing your cookie preferences

When you first visit the Site, a cookie banner will ask you to accept or reject non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing). Strictly necessary cookies will still be set, since the Site cannot function properly without them.

You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page, or using the button below.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect how the Site works. For guidance on managing cookies in your browser, see www.aboutcookies.org.

6. International transfers

Google and Meta are US-based companies. Where these providers process personal data through cookies, that data may be transferred outside the UK. Both companies rely on recognised safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or their certification under the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to protect this data. You can find more detail in Google's and Meta's own privacy policies.

7. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time, to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for legal reasons. We recommend checking this page periodically.
